		<description>Hi Aman,

I would like to know why you have a contentplaceholder inside your updatepanel? UpdatePanels are only useful for partial rendering on the same page. Not for loading new webpages without any flickering. So a contentplaceholder inside a Updatepanel doesn't make sense.

So please explain what are you trying to achieve?

		<description>Hi Dennis,

I was trying to accomplish the same feat that Emma was trying to do - having menu buttons on the masterpage and trying to get different content pages without a refresh.
Spent half a day on that and many sites did not answer to the point. Your post hit the Bull's eye and now I know what's wrong. Thanks a Bunch!

Regards,
Regin</description>

		<description>Hi Manish,

This sounds like a situation for IFrames. You don't need AJAX technolgy for this situation. I think AJAX technology is especially useful when you want partial update you page. This can be done with an updatepanel or the use of Webservices. When you want to load a total new page. you can use an IFrame. Hope this helps.

		<description>Dennis,

Michel Berkelmans
